Jessica Tawczynski graduated with her Master’s Degree in 2D Fine Art from MassArt, and received her BFA from UMass Lowell. She has been in a number of group shows including, “Unreality Bomb” and “High Rock Tower”, in New York, has exhibited at Boston University in “Boston Young Contemporaries”, and has also exhibited internationally, including a group show at Shenkar College in Tel-Aviv, Israel, and a solo show, “Rhizome”, at Deiglan Gallery in Akureyri, Iceland. During her Residency at Gilfelagid Listagil, Tawczynski was invited to become part of a lecture series at the Akureyri Contemporary Museum of Art, in which she gave an artist talk last winter. Following her solo show at The Arts Research Collaborative in Lowell, Massachusetts, Tawczynski was an Artist in Residence at Listhus ArtSpace in Olafsfjordur, Iceland, for the month of September 2018, where she exhibited work made at the residency in a solo show titled, “Strange Element.”

She lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
